Job description

  • Design and develop machine vision systems for: Object identification, Classification and inspection, and Tracking across multi-stage processes
  • Develop vision solutions using: Cognex VisionPro, Basler Pylon, or similar platforms
  • Build and integrate Python-based image processing pipelines
  • Support development of AI-based classification models (Object detection and multi-class identification)
  • Integrate vision systems with: PLCs (Siemens) and Robotics (KUKA)
  • Implement Calibration and hand-eye alignment, Real-time image processing workflows, and Image data archiving and traceability systems
  • Optimize system performance for Speed, Accuracy, and Reliability

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vision inspection system?, * 7+ years experience developing industrial vision systems

  • Hands-on experience with Cognex VisionPro / In-Sight OR Basler / similar platforms
  • Strong programming experience in Python
  • Experience with Image processing / Inspection systems
  • Background working in Manufacturing or industrial environments (preferably electronics), * This project is a hybrid role (work from home and travel 1-2 weeks at a time to the commission location a few times during the 12-month assignment). Are you willing to travel and be away from home for this assignment?
  • Have you deployed a production vision system using Cognex or similar tools with Python-based processing?
  • Have you integrated vision systems with PLCs, industrial automation systems, and or KUKA robotics?
  • Have you developed and deployed a machine vision system in a production (manufacturing) environment? If yes, have you worked with high camera-count systems (10+ cameras in a single application)?
