Job description
As an FPGA Design/Verification Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of aerospace innovation, translating high-level system requirements into robust FPGA architectures and implementations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design, verify, integrate, and optimize FPGA solutions supporting advanced aviation platforms., * Develop and execute RTL simulations to validate design functionality.
- Analyze simulation results and identify opportunities for design improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design issues before hardware deployment.
Documentation & Engineering Compliance
- Create and maintain critical program documentation, including:
- Firmware Requirements Specifications (FRS)
- Firmware Design Descriptions (FDD)
- Support engineering reviews and milestone deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with development standards and processes.
Integration & Testing
- Load FPGA firmware onto prototype and development hardware platforms.
- Support hardware integration and system testing activities.
- Investigate and resolve Problem Trouble Reports (PTRs).
- Collaborate with integration teams to refine and improve designs throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaboration
- Work closely with systems, hardware, firmware, and test engineers.
- Participate in technical reviews and design discussions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
Requirements
If you’re passionate about Verilog development, FPGA architecture, verification, and system integration, we want to hear from you., * Strong experience developing FPGA solutions using Verilog.
- Proficiency with FPGA design toolchains such as:
- Xilinx Vivado
- Intel Quartus
- Experience with RTL design, coding, simulation, and verification.
- Ability to review system architecture and translate complex requirements into detailed FPGA implementations.
- Experience creating technical documentation including:
- Firmware Requirements Specifications (FRS)
- Firmware Design Descriptions (FDD)
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience within aerospace, aviation, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of high-speed communication protocols and interfaces.
- Experience supporting hardware integration and system-level testing.
- Familiarity with FPGA verification methodologies and testbench development.
- Experience working on complex embedded or real-time systems.
- Understanding of complete product development lifecycles.
