Global Category Manager for IT Software & Hardware

As the Global Category Manager for IT Software & Hardware, you will shape and lead the long-term category roadmap to support Roche Diagnostics instruments. You will partner with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate strategy into value, drive supplier ecosystems, and steer complex negotiations. Your work will accelerate IT hardware and software initiatives, enabling sustainable growth and digital transformation. This high-impact role combines strategic leadership with global supplier management in a regulated, patient-focused environment., * Develop and execute a global Category Strategy and initiative pipeline for IT Software & Hardware

• Lead high-value commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers
• Manage global supplier ecosystems, development programs, and risk monitoring
• Create category guidance documents translating strategy into actionable content
• Partner with senior stakeholders to challenge demand/specifications and maximize value
• Coach and develop procurement colleagues; oversee budget and work with Associate Category Manager
• Deliver commercial impact by anchoring costs and building a resilience project pipeline

• 5+ years in strategic and operational procurement with category management and advanced strategic sourcing
• Experience in regulated industries (Diagnostics) and familiarity with legal and quality risks
• Deep knowledge of IT hardware and software markets (servers, PCs, OS, databases, licensing)
• Proficiency with enterprise sourcing tools (eSourcing, eAuction) and procurement systems
• Strong communication, project management, and change management skills
• Fluent business English; willingness to travel up to 30%
