Were looking for a Platform Engineer to contribute to our core backend systems, from the event store to the underlying transactional infrastructure that other members of the Engineering team work on. Whatever you ship at this layer ends up being used across the whole company, so a small improvement here can save a lot of time for the team later. Up to shape whats next in finance? What youll be doing - Building and scaling our core systems - Writing high-throughput, concurrent code at production scale - Working on problems that affect multiple teams across Engineering - Reviewing code and helping other engineers with system design What youll need - 7+ years of backend engineering experience - A bachelors degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field - Production fluency in Java, or expertise in another backend language (Kotlin, Scala, Python, Go etc) and a readiness to work primarily in Java - A track record of building core systems or foundational platforms that other engineers built on top of - Distributed systems experience at a meaningful scale - The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and organisational skills - Fluency in English Nice to have - A background in fintech or other high-volume transactional environment - Experience in a startup or scale-up - Event sourcing in production - Open-source contributions to frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling Compensation range - Krakow: PLN41,500 - PLN53,900 gross monthly - Poland: PLN41,500 - PLN53,900 gross monthly - Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process java, kotlin, scala
