Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our dynamic and expanding Modification and Upgrades division at Dematic? As a CS MU Control Engineer you will design and execute controls software for MU jobs, like repairs, upgrades, extension of the existing and competitor projects and provide hotline support to customers. Provide support to our customers. Produce PLC software and/or visualization systems. Emulate and test PLC software. Interpret electrical schematics and design input information. Commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and provide support to system test activities and training for the end user. Produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists and test specifications. Provide technical guidance. Maintain all associated documentation including design calculations, design specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications. Key Responsibilities Maintain the Dematic image as a top-quality, professional company, adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach. Maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, providing high-quality service. Comply with company policies. Promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time, cost and quality in project delivery. Qualifications & Experience Experience in Electrical/Mechatronics/Controls Engineering as a minimum. Experience in a similar role. Extensive proven hands-on experience working within an industrial automation environment. Understanding of PLC development tools (Siemens, Rockwell…) Good understanding of electrical and electronic technical manuals and drawings. Understanding of design requirements such as Machine Directive and its standards including safety standards. Good understanding of distributed control systems. Extensive understanding of software testing and emulation. Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential. Special Conditions Ability to work under minimum supervision. Able to work under pressure. Cooperate within the team. English speaker. Willing to learn about all Dematic subsystems. Willing to do small R&D topic. Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.
