Job description

  • Support development and implementation of data integration pipelines across database systems including Oracle and PostgreSQL within AWS cloud environment.
  • Configure and implement DMS processes to detect database changes and develop jobs to transform and persist data on PostgreSQL.
  • Assist with data migration planning, transformation logic, and dependency analysis.
  • Analyze stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and data rules to guide migration strategy.
  • Support event-driven data exchange between systems.
  • Implement transformation patterns using AWS-native services such as AWS Glue.
  • Work with senior engineers, architects, and data modelers to ensure data exchange meets system needs.
  • Participate in technical design sessions, reviews, and data workshops.
  • Contribute to integration of GovCloud-compliant data security models including IAM, encryption-at-rest, and encryption-in-flight.

Requirements

CACI is seeking a motivated Mid-Level Data Engineer to support modernization efforts in a mission-critical customer environment. This role focuses on data migration and integration using tools such as AWS DMS and Debezium. The ideal candidate will help design and build reliable pipelines between database systems that target the use of PostgreSQL on the cloud., Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data exchange engineering.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience using AWS DMS for migrations and replication.
  • Practical experience with DMS and Debezium to detect and process data updates / changes.
  • Experience developing jobs to migrate on-prem RDBMS systems to a cloud-based PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud services including DMS, Lambda, Glue, and KMS.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data flow and integration issues

Desired:

  • Experience modernizing data systems for DoW customers.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust, IL5 boundary conditions, ICAM integration, and RMF compliance.
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments with DevSecOps pipelines.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,100-$172,400
