Job description

UST is searching for a Sr Java Developer with 5-6 years hands on experience in Java development at enterprise level (recent).

The opportunity:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications using strong object-oriented programming principles and industry-standard design patterns.

  • Build and implement scalable microservices architecture, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.

  • Develop Spring Boot applications with expertise in:

o Dependency Injection (Spring Core)

o RESTful API development

o ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA)

  • Design and consume REST APIs for seamless integration between services and external systems.

  • Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure, including:

o Azure App Service

o Azure Functions

o Azure SQL Database / Cosmos DB

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain efficient SQL queries, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and adherence to industry standards.

  • Implement and follow CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps/Jenkins for:

o Automated builds

o Unit & integration testing

o Continuous deployment

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, DevOps) to ensure smooth release cycles and production stability.

  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of complex technical issues in real-time.

  • Participate in hands-on coding exercises and problem-solving sessions, demonstrating strong logical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Effectively communicate technical concepts, project updates, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuously learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and cloud best practices to improve system design and development efficiency.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Rest API, SQL, Cosmos DB (or any NO SQL)

  • Nice to have: Azure or GCP experience, Kubernetes

  • Skills and experiences:

  • Experience in working Java Version 18 or above is mandatory

  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Kafka

  • Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and familiarity with Java frameworks

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices-based applications

  • Hands-on experience in developing Spring Boot applications, including dependency injection, ORM (Object-Relational Mapping), and REST API development

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL or COSTMOS DB

  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices, including automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies

  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries as per industrial standards, fine-tuned for optimization

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important for this role

  • The evaluation includes an hands-on coding/troubleshooting exercise and should be able to articulate past projects and do on the fly troubleshooting/ write logic.

$82,000-$123,000 life insurance, vision insurance, flexible benefit account, paid holidays, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan United States, Arkansas, Bentonville Jul 14, 2026 Role description, Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below., Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws., Compensation range: $ 82,000.00 to 123,000.00 per year
