SAP Master Data Governance Lead

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Master Data Governance Consultant to support a manufacturing-focused environment. This role will play a key part in improving master data quality, establishing governance processes, and partnering with business and technical teams to ensure SAP material data supports critical business operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with SAP Material Master Data, SAP S/4HANA, manufacturing processes, and data governance. This individual will serve as a bridge between functional business teams and technical teams, helping define standards, resolve data challenges, and drive alignment around master data processes., * Support SAP Material Master Data processes within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

• Partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand data needs, define requirements, and improve data quality.
• Lead conversations around master data governance, ownership, standards, and business rules.
• Analyze relationships and dependencies within SAP master data and understand downstream impacts.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Help ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of material master data across business processes.
• Provide guidance on SAP data structures, connections, and impacts without being responsible for overall system architecture design.
• Support ongoing data management initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of SAP Material Master Data and related business processes.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM/MDG) concepts.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including business users, SAP functional teams, and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of how SAP master data objects connect and impact business processes.
• Experience translating business requirements into data standards and governance practices.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformations, migrations, or data cleanup initiatives.
• Familiarity with SAP MM (Materials Management), inventory, procurement, production, or supply chain processes.
• Experience facilitating workshops or leading functional discussions around data requirements.
