Job description

Detailed Job Description: This Software Analyst position is required to support continued analysis, development and maintenance efforts for the NYWIC Data Mart. The NYWIC (New York Women, Infants, and Children) system is a statewide application that supports the administration of New York’s WIC nutrition program, which provides nutritional assistance and health services to eligible women, infants, and children. In addition to the MIS the program has a data warehouse to further support reporting needs. Within this environment, the DataMart team is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and reporting layer supporting the NYWIC application. The team includes Business Analysts, Data Modelers, Informatica Developers, and OBIEE Developers who work collaboratively to deliver and sustain data solutions.The team continuously implements enhancements and updates to the DataMart as the core application evolves, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely reporting for business users, program administrators, and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 84 months of experience with analysis and documentation of complex business requirements, business rules, and functional requirements including creating business requirements documentations (BRDs), report mockups, process flows, and functional/technical specifications.

  • 84 months of experience leading meetings with business staff/subject matter experts to elicit, document and validate business requirements.

  • 60 Months Experience using SQL for analysis, report development, and testing.

  • 60 months of experience providing production support for OBIEE/Oracle reports, addressing incoming incidents and working with business staff, end users or technical staff to analyze issues and document the resolution.

  • 48 months of experience eliciting and documenting requirements for data import/export processes including business and functional requirements, data validations, file processing requirements and exception handling.

  • 36 months of experience with MS Office, Visio, SharePoint and other tools for creating and maintaining project documentation including technical documentation and user guides/training presentations.

  • 36 months of experience identifying testing scenarios, creating test cases , and performing testing to validate OBIEE reports, extracts or datamart ETL and documenting defects using HP Quality center or other similar tools.

  • 36 months of experience leading team meetings and tracking discussion/status of team assignments using MS Teams, Planner or other similar tools.

  • 36 months of experience using OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) 11g (or higher) Business Intelligence Dashboards, or other business intelligence tools including end user experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field, from an accredited institution.
