Job description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Full Stack developer to join us in the design and development of innovative technology for financial advisors and their clients using the latest technology stack in a collaborative and engaging environment. Your team will develop applications used by thousands of Investment Professionals to deliver comprehensive brokerage solutions to their customers. Our development teams are highly collaborative and encourage creativity, innovation, and excellence. Your experience, skills, and input will be critical to our shared success.

Day to Day:

Build and maintain enterprise web applications and APIs used by thousands of financial advisors
Develop front-end solutions using Angular and TypeScript
Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and consume RESTful APIs
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and fellow Engineers on new feature development
Deploy applications through automated CI/CD pipelines
Leverage Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS for cloud-native deployments
Utilize GitHub and pull requests for collaborative development
Implement automated testing and quality best practices
Use AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and engineering efficiency
Continuously improve platform scalability, performance, and user experience

Requirements

2+ years of Full Stack Development experience
Angular development experience
TypeScript experience
Core Java development experience
Spring and/or Spring Boot experience
Experience building enterprise-level APIs and web applications
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and/or SOAP web services
Docker and Kubernetes experience
AWS cloud experience
Terraform experience
Jenkins or CI/CD pipeline experience
GitHub source control and pull request experience
Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Financial Services experience
Fidelity experience
Wealth Management or Brokerage platform experience
Experience supporting advisor-facing applications
Microservices architecture experience Strong cloud-native application development experience
