Job description

The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Oracle database applications, PL/SQL programs, and reporting solutions. This role requires not only strong technical expertise but also exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users, project managers, architects, QA teams, and production support teams. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Create and manage tables, views, indexes, and materialized views.
  • Perform performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve production issues.
  • Develop technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and deployment plans.
  • Support application releases, code promotions, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and design reviews.
  • Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Provide status updates, risks, and dependencies to management.
  • Collaborate with QA, developers, business analysts, and project managers to deliver solutions on schedule.
  • Document solutions thoroughly and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings and confidently present technical recommendations.

Requirements

Proficiency with Oracle Database (12c/19c or later).

  • Advanced PL/SQL development skills.
  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning.
  • Strong data modeling and database design capabilities.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to gather and clarify complex requirements.
  • Experience leading technical discussions and working sessions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and business users.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills.
