Job description

Provide hardware support as needed and maintain/improve the caliber of the Information Systems (IS) department as directed by the IS Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Portray Howmet Aerospace in a positive manner, i.e. capabilities, systems, equipment, co-workers, management, etc. at all times.

  • Provide hardware support to computer end users.

  • Responsible for administering Manufacturing software packages on Company network, installing all updates, and performing administrative tasks within the manufacturing database.

  • Responsible for 100+ PC user interfaces, Web integration, and development of Windows Server networks.

  • Configure Company personal computers per Corporate requirements.

  • Install and maintain software as directed.

  • Troubleshoot and repair network wiring/connections as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and repair Company personal computers as needed.

  • Upgrade systems and correct errors to maintain systems after implementation.

  • Will be on-call for systems being down and mission critical events.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by IS Manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware troubleshooting, MIS, or related roles.

  • Experience with Windows operating systems .

  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills that extends to all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information and maintain positive working relationships with diverse employee groups and external customers.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field from an accredited institution.

  • Training certificate or license in hardware troubleshooting.
