Job description

n \n The Managed Care, Business Solutions Architect designs and delivers business intelligence and analytics solutions that support Managed Care related operational and strategic decision-making across UCLA Health’s Faculty Practice Group. This role will be working closely with the Managed Care Department. This role partners with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to develop dashboards, reports, applied AI and data solutions using Epic Clarity, Tableau, Power BI, and SQL-based reporting tools. \n \n \n \n \n \n Key Responsibilities:\n \n \n \n

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex dashboards, reports, and data extracts using Tableau, Power BI, Epic Clarity, and Caboodle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n

  • Minimum 8 or more years of progressively responsible experience in Managed Care business intelligence, analytics, or data reporting \n

  • Applies advanced knowledge of business intelligence practices, analytical methodologies, and industry best practices \n

  • Utilizes advanced SQL skills in enterprise databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle \n

  • Experience using Python for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows

  • Perform data validation, quality assurance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of reporting outputs. \n

  • Monitor and optimize reporting performance while resolving complex data and system issues. \n

  • Support cross-functional analytics initiatives by providing insights, documentation, and end-user guidance related to reporting and data interpretation. \n

  • Interprets and models complex healthcare data, including managed care claims, authorizations, and provider datasets, * Designs and validates complex dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI \n

  • Translates complex business questions into technical specifications, data models, and analytical solutions \n

  • Resolves highly complex data quality, integration, and reporting issues using structured problem-solving approaches \n

  • Communicates complex analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences \n

  • Manages multiple analytical initiatives independently under general direction \n

  • Applies strong organizational and project coordination skills across large, multi-stream analytics efforts \n

Highly :

  • Epic Clarity or Tapestry certification \n

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist or equivalent \n

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL 300) \n

  • Demonstrates advanced collaboration skills with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders \n

  • Applies Epic Clarity reporting knowledge, particularly within managed care related modules \n
