Computer Literacy Error Codes Load Testing

Job description

  • Commission crane systems using a laptop: download programs, set parameters, and remove error codes.
  • Gain fluency in test documentation-load charts, load test papers, and log book requirements-per Company policy.
  • Apply and demonstrate crane and rigging symbols and signals during test activities.
  • Complete software training spanning a wide range of Manitowoc Crane products.
  • Meet all safety training requirements within regulatory timelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

Join a team where your attention to detail, safety mindset, and curiosity drive the testing and validation of Manitowoc cranes. Guided by a Production Supervisor and partnered with Senior and Journey Test Operators, you’ll progress from hands-on commissioning to expert-level understanding of documentation and safety practices-while contributing to Lean, 5S, and TPR initiatives that keep our operations world-class., * Proficient with tape measures and common measuring tools.

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Comfortable with math across whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Awareness of crane functions and safe operations.
  • Willing to earn CCO Certification after starting in the Test Operator role when business conditions allow for training., * High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.

Safety First

  • Maintain housekeeping and uphold 5S.
  • Always use required PPE and follow safety procedures.
  • Engage fully in safety and health training; demonstrate competence.
  • Identify, report, and help correct unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Those with CDL’s are required to have an annual physical.

This position will be required to work outside at least 80% of the time, in various weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Incumbent must be willing to work at various heights.
