Job description

  • This position is responsible for providing support to multiple office locations in the Denver area.
  • Strong customer service skills are required.
  • Experience in L1/L2 IT support in a corporate environment is required., This is an in-office end-user support position for our client and is not a remote-support role. The IT Support Administrator is primarily responsible for delivering responsive, hands-on technical support to employees across the Denver-area offices.

The position serves as the on-site IT resource for day-to-day issues involving computers, software, Microsoft 365, user accounts, printers, mobile devices, conference rooms, and network connectivity. The role owns end-user incidents and service requests from intake through resolution, prepares and deploys equipment, supports employee onboarding and transitions, performs workstation maintenance and software upgrades, maintains accurate tickets and asset records, and provides practical technology training., * Serve as the primary on-site IT support resource for employees at the Peoria office and provide scheduled or as-needed support at other assigned branches.

  • Receive, document, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user incidents and service requests through the IT ticketing system while keeping users informed of status and next steps.
  • Resolve issues involving business software, web browsers, files, drivers, disk space, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other end-user technology.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and common collaboration tools, and perform routine Active Directory account and access administration under established procedures.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support approved business applications; perform workstation operating system patches, software updates, and standard endpoint maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot conference-room technology, displays, cameras, microphones, audiovisual equipment, and Microsoft Teams meetings to maintain reliable meeting-room functionality.
  • Set up, image, configure, deploy, replace, recover, and maintain PCs, laptops, tablets, monitors, docks, and related equipment while keeping asset and inventory records accurate.
  • Coordinate technology setup for new hires, employee transfers, office moves, hardware refreshes, and employee departures, including equipment preparation, account access, and equipment recovery.
  • Diagnose wired, wireless, VPN, multi-factor authentication, printing, and other connectivity or access issues affecting employees; resolve issues within the role’’s scope and escalate when needed.
  • Assist with the onboarding and implementation of new software, hardware, and IT services, including testing, deployment, user communication, and post-implementation support.
  • Provide technical support to internal office staff, sales personnel, service technicians, coordinators, and other employees using company-supported technology.
  • Provide basic technology training and guidance to employees, technicians, and coordinators, and create clear user instructions and knowledge articles.
  • Monitor assigned ticket queues, meet established response and resolution expectations, identify recurring issues, and communicate trends that may require broader corrective action.
  • Support business-critical end-user technology and perform basic infrastructure checks only when assigned under documented procedures, escalating server, backup, virtual machine, security, or application issues to the appropriate team.
  • Assist with IT projects and technology deployments that directly affect employees, including equipment rollouts, office changes, application implementations, and branch support initiatives.
  • Travel to branch locations within approximately a five-hour driving radius of Denver for projects, deployments, special situations, or other on-site support needs as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience providing hands-on help desk, desktop, or end-user technical support in a business environment.
  • Experience resolving issues involving software, web browsers, files, drivers, disk space, monitors, printers, docking stations, and other computer peripherals.
  • Experience installing applications, performing software upgrades, and applying workstation patches and updates.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services and performing basic Active Directory user, group, password, and access administration.
  • Experience setting up and deploying PCs, laptops, tablets, monitors, mobile devices, and related equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting conference-room technology, displays, audiovisual equipment, cameras, microphones, and Microsoft Teams meetings.
  • Experience diagnosing basic wired and wireless connectivity, VPN, multi-factor authentication, printing, and network-access issues.
  • Experience supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, equipment preparation, access changes, and equipment recovery.
  • Experience using a ticketing system, documenting troubleshooting steps, maintaining asset records, and communicating status clearly to end users.
  • Strong customer-service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on-site, manage competing priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to provide basic technology training and explain technical information to nontechnical employees.
  • Associate or bachelor’’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Basic familiarity with server, backup, and virtual machine concepts is preferred for monitoring and escalation purposes; primary infrastructure administration is not required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel by vehicle to branch locations within approximately a five-hour driving radius of Denver and work on-site as required.

About the company

  • Provide on-site support approximately one day per week at the Parker office.
  • Provide on-site support approximately one day per week at the Aurora office until that team relocates to Peoria.
  • Support the Lakewood office and other branches as needed, including travel to branch locations within approximately a five-hour driving radius of Denver for projects, deployments, or special support situations.
