Job description

Design Tech Homes builds custom homes, and behind the scenes, we’ve built the software that runs the entire operation: sales, finance, construction, and everything in between. We’re looking for a Lead .NET Engineer to own that ecosystem.

This is not a greenfield role. Our codebase has history, years of business logic baked in through real operational experience. We need someone who can read that code, understand why it was written the way it was, and build on it thoughtfully.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be the primary engineer and architect for our internal application suite, a tightly integrated environment connecting ERP, operational, and customer-facing systems where data accuracy and reliability aren’t optional. That means:

  • Maintaining and improving the core .NET platforms that keep our operations running day to day
  • Designing and building new features and integrations as the business grows
  • Owning our SQL Server environment, including schema design, stored procedures, and data integrity across multiple connected systems
  • Working directly with stakeholders across operations, construction, finance, and design to turn real workflow problems into working software
  • Making the call on when to improve something and when to leave well enough alone

Requirements

Do you have experience in T-SQL?, * 8+ years of hands-on .NET experience: C#, ASP.NET MVC, the full ecosystem

  • Strong SQL Server skills: T-SQL, stored procedures, complex data modeling
  • Solid front-end fundamentals: JavaScript, HTML, CSS for the internal web tools you’ll be supporting
  • Comfort working across integrated systems, with experience in ERP or operational platforms being a plus
  • The judgment to distinguish “this needs to change” from “this just needs to be understood”, * Developer Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC: 8 years (Required)
