Job description

The SAP ERP Application Architect position is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of SAP ERP (and related) systems at Kao. They work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements and develop an SAP architecture that meets those needs., * Review project and design documents for any new implementation/projectand enforce EIS standards and guidelines (config and development) to make sure the documentation captures all the business requirements and are uploaded in the appropriate location / site. Will need to guide numerous App Dev team members.

  • Assist project teams with the technical design and architecture for new projects and ensurethat platforms and technology used adheres to EIS supported standards. Ensure our SAP landscapes and ecosystem is supportable today, tomorrow, and into the future. Architect should be thinking 3-5 years down the road and help ensure we arrive in an intentional place.
  • Work with Business Relationship Managers to understand business requirements and needs and scope out projects with resource requirements and realistic timelines and budgets.
  • Assist with organizing all existing functional and technical specs and maintaining an inventoryof all technical objects and enhancements in our current SAP system to get ready for S/4HANA. Other day-to-day tasks/duties as needed.
  • Review and research best practices and new technologies and work with the business usersto educate and empower them, and implement best in class solutions to keep Kao on the cutting edge of technology.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and configuring in an SAP environment.
  • Minimum 3 full lifecycle implementations / roll outs & support experience in SAP ECC and/or S4 projects.
  • Business process/functional knowledge and configuration experience in SAP for a set of modules - FICO (financial accounting, asset accounting, overhead accounting, product costing, profitability analysis, financial planning, consolidation, central finance, closing cockpit), Logistics, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse & Quality Management, Production Planning, Plant Maintenance and PLM.
  • Understanding WRICEF and experience working with ABAP developers to design/standardize customized functional solutions.
  • Understanding and experience working with EDI & IDOCS, SAP Query, and Custom reports.
  • Knowledge of the operations and integration of various modules within SAP.
  • Knowledge of SAP’s database structures and experience using modern tools to integrate other systems with SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively with other team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
