Job description
A Quality Control Specialist is the person who makes sure that the equipment we sell is properly configured and tested before it is delivered to a customer’s location. Their goal is to have every piece of equipment ready to go live once it is physically installed., * Create and work from a schedule that covers a 90-day timeframe.
- Work with Project Management and Professional Services to fill schedule based on often changing customer timelines and needs.
- Be able to follow the QC process and document completion of all phases.
- Loading, unloading, and moving equipment inside the warehouse using various manual and motorized equipment.
- Transporting and setting equipment at customer sites.
- Transporting parts and materials to technicians.
- Communicate effectively with external customers and all departments inside of QDS.
- Load and configure software packages on equipment.
- Add customer branding and marketing including installing vinyl wraps.
- Perform detailed quality assurance checks of the equipment to ensure functionality and that all additional components ordered have been added and tested and are 100% ready to go live on installation day.
- Test and troubleshoot all Hardware before equipment ships out.
- Works closely with the implementation and service teams to ensure a positive customer experience, and to help improve and refine the QC Process.
- Help maintain Cencon Lock system and program new locks and keys.
- Prepare equipment for local pickups and/or shipment.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Video conferences (communication methods)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Must be self-motivated and well organized.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to be punctual and follow a prescribed schedule each week.
- Ability to pivot, if necessary, to meet customer demands.
- Ability to maintain technical competencies of product lines that are supported in the industry.
- Ability to work independently in a detail and deadline sensitive environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical errors.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and teammates through Microsoft Outlook and other various communication platforms used by QDS. (MS-Teams, E-Auto, SmartSheets, Excell, and Calendar)
- Ability to read, interpret and follow diagrams and manuals.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet customers’ demands.
- Ability to Operate a Hand Tuck, Motorized Pallet Jack, and Forklift.
- Ability to Drive a Box Truck or Truck and Trailer
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- This position is required to work Monday - Friday with the potential of overtime work during the week and on the weekend.
- This position is required to travel 25% of the time. Must be able to drive and/or fly when necessary to meet customer needs.
- Must be willing to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 4-6 continuous hours per day
