Job description
We’re seeking a hands-on Snowflake Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of our cloud data platform. You will partner closely with data engineering, product owners, enterprise architecture, security, and analytics teams to ensure our Snowflake-based data warehouse reliably supports enterprise strategies and rapid delivery of business capabilities.
What you’ll do
- Own data architecture strategy, standards, and best practices for the cloud data warehouse
- Design scalable data models, ETL/ELT patterns, APIs, and data pipelines to support analytics and product needs
- Implement and optimize Snowflake solutions, leveraging tools such as Fivetran and dbt; guide CI/CD, automated deployments, and self-service build tools
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into secure, high-performance data solutions
- Lead evaluations of data products and recommend tools or enhancements; participate in hardware/software planning
- Drive data quality, data management practices, and participate in MDM initiatives (preferred)
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-call escalation support for critical incidents
- Contribute to project planning for legacy system replacement, monitoring and analytics improvements, and technical documentation *
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise data modernization projects and building data products from the ground up.
- Advanced knowledge of Snowflake architecture and best practices; hands-on experience with ELT tools (Fivetran) and transformation frameworks (dbt).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, APIs, performance tuning, and cloud data security.
- Experience implementing or working with MDM tools and leading data quality programs is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong problem-solving and creative-thinking ability.
- Comfortable providing escalated on-call support when needed.
