Job description
We are seeking a highly adaptable and mission focused professional to directly support HITL lab technical oversight, stand-up, operation and modification, while working with leadership, engineers and scientists in an integrated team comprising industry and government during a critical program phase., * Define facility & infrastructure requirements
- Procure lab equipment and furnishings in coordination with program management and contracts professionals
- Develop cost & schedule estimates
- Define detailed HITL use cases aligned with test and evaluation master plan (TEMP)
- Provide SME consultation for customer plans
- Propose modifications and enhancements as necessary to ensure team success
- Coordinate with multi-discipline, integrated industry and government teams
- Lead future lab renovation
- Lead HITL lab for execution of test and evaluation (T&E)
- Prepare the lab and personnel to meet tight timelines
- Coordinate work schedules
- Lead readiness reviews
- Implement and maintain operational and test discipline
- Ensure the integrity of lab products
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings a diverse background that includes subject matter expert (SME) knowledge and experience with airborne systems, a depth of knowledge of HITL methodologies employed for systems development and demonstrated ability to administer a working lab to provide usable data products. Success in this position requires flexibility and the ability to make tactical trade-offs while maintaining the rigor and integrity of the lab’s output. Knowledge of principles of systems engineering, information systems network design, facilities design, and project engineering are desired but not required., * 14+ years’ experience in related lab and engineering development efforts
- Experience with test architecting and executing lab test operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired qualifications:
- Experience with developmental flight test
- Familiarity with network design
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program, Active Secret security clearance granted within the last six years, with the ability to gain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility desired.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Benefits & conditions
The expected pay range for this position in California is $XXX,000/year to $XXX,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
