Job description

You will be the Full Stack Engineer Stf - Skunk Works© - Level 4 for the Aeronautics Ground Systems team which is responsible for delivering secure, high-performance cloud and hybrid platforms that enable the nation’s most ambitious aeronautical missions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Full Stack Engineer Stf - Skunk Works© - Level 4 you will be responsible for building resilient infrastructure, turning code into launch-ready pipelines, and ensuring DoD-mandated security at every layer.

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for platform deployment (RKE2, Rancher, etc.)
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or PowerShell to automate and standardize environments
  • Enforce security standards across all code and infrastructure artifacts, ensuring continuous compliance
  • Manage multi-network, hybrid-cloud environments spanning AWS, Azure, and on-premise resources
  • Support vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and remediation, proactively protecting mission data and systems

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration
  • Coding (ex. C++, C#, Java) or scripting proficiency (ex. Python, Bash, Powershell)
  • IaC experience (ex. Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible) Desired Skills:

  • Active TopSecret clearance
  • Professional security certification: CompTIA Security+ or any DoD 8140-approved certification (e.g., CySA+, CASP, CEH)
  • Proven expertise with AWS and Azure services (IAM, networking, storage, compute)
  • Prior work on multi-tenant, multi-region deployments
  • Experience with on-prem virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Hands-on experience with RKE2
  • Hands-on experience with Rancher management
  • Knowledge of Zero-Trust network architecture
  • Familiarity with Open Mission Systems architectures and deployments Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
