DevOps Engineer, Mid

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps Engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management sof tware to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.

As a platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience , you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

• 2+ years of experience with AWS Cloud, including building and supporting DevOps tools and CI / CD pipelines
• 2+ years of experience with containerization, building images, and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large-scale sof tware deployments, or monitoring and testing
• Experience managing tools deployed with Helm and with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
• Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
• Knowledge of container security technologies and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date

• Experience identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience
• Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
• Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
• Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
• Experience with the OWASP Sof tware Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Model
• Bachelor’s degree
• Cloud Certification , including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Asso cia te, Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, or MCSE Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
