Job description

  • Design embedded hardware architecture.

  • Implement local buffering for intermittent connectivity.
  • Develop APIs consumed by Android, iOS, Windows, and web applications.
  • Prototype, test, and validate laboratory instrument integrations.
  • Work closely with software engineers to define standardized measurement payloads and APIs.

Requirements

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Embedded Systems Architect to Design and build a vendor-agnostic laboratory instrument gateway that connects industrial balances, scales, and measurement devices to mobile applications, desktop applications, and cloud-based LIMS systems through standardized communication interfaces., * 8+ years embedded firmware development.

  • Strong background in software architecture using languages such as Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript, Bash scripting, and Shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure; familiarity with Kubernetes and VMware virtualization technologies
  • Deep understanding of operating systems including Linux, Windows, UNIX; experience with system administration and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases like NoSQL or DynamoDB is a plus
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols; experience with computer networking security measures
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving systems integration across multiple platforms using SAP or Pegasystems solutions is desirable
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles related to data model design, system design for development projects, and enterprise solutions implementation, * Bachelor’s degree in:

  • or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience integrating electronic instruments with computer systems.
  • Strong understanding of electronic measurement systems.
  • Experience with laboratory balances or industrial weighing systems.
