What Success Looks Like
- Take an operational problem from initial discussion through a deployed Foundry solution.
- Develop an appropriate Ontology rather than simply using an existing object model.
- Build functional Workshop applications that support real business workflows.
- Understand how applications, Actions, Functions, Ontology objects, backing datasets, transformations, and permissions interact.
- Diagnose problems methodically across the application and data stack.
- Communicate effectively with both developers and operational users.
- Distinguish personal contributions from the accomplishments of the broader project team.
- Defend technical design choices and explain reasonable alternatives.
- Deliver working capabilities with limited technical supervision.
Candidate Verification Process
CommNet uses a skills-based evaluation process. Resume terminology alone will not determine whether a candidate advances.
Candidates selected for consideration should expect:
- A verification interview focused on specific Foundry projects and the candidate’s individual contributions.
- A live technical discussion using a synthetic, unclassified Foundry scenario.
- Questions involving Ontology design, Workshop applications, forms, Actions, Functions, datasets, transformations, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Follow-up questions based directly on claims made in the candidate’s resume and application responses.
- A customer-facing discussion evaluating communication, technical judgment, requirements analysis, and problem-solving ability.
- Verification of the candidate’s active security clearance.
- Candidates will not be asked to disclose classified information, proprietary source code, customer data, screenshots, or another employer’s confidential information.
Generic descriptions of Foundry, memorized product terminology, unverifiable project claims, or answers that do not distinguish the applicant’s personal work from the work of the broader team will not advance.
Application statements and resume claims must be supportable during a live technical discussion.

- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining Foundry Ontology object types, properties, relationships, and actions.
- Demonstrated experience building applications, dashboards, forms, and workflows in Foundry Workshop.
- Experience developing and maintaining Foundry datasets, pipelines, and transformations.
- Ability to explain specifically what you personally designed, configured, coded, tested, deployed, or repaired.
- Experience translating user or business requirements into implemented technical solutions.

- Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working directly with business users or customers to refine requirements and demonstrate solutions.
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote, cross-functional delivery environment.
