Job description
The Technology Support Specialist I provides comprehensive helpdesk support by serving as the primary point of contact to monitor, triage, and resolve technical issues across multiple channels. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software, routing complex issues to appropriate team members, managing Active Directory tasks, and collaborating with team members and third-party vendors. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for configuring and deploying workstations, documenting troubleshooting efforts and standard operating procedures, and participating in system migrations.
Requirements
- Pursuing an Associate degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent technical work or experience in the credit union industry
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts, LAN and WAN topologies, Wireless Technologies, and Firewall concepts
- Working knowledge of all Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- Knowledge of Virtual Hypervisor environments, * High level of skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with a demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to be detail-oriented, highly organized, and excellent at planning, prioritizing, and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences strong listening skills
- Ability to diagnose technical problems and discern what level of support is needed
