Job description

Our client, a global technology company, is looking to hire am L4 Mainframe Migration Consultant for a 6-month remote contract. The consultant will be responsible for supporting major migration efforts from Broadcom (CA) to BMC AMI mainframe product suites, specifically managing the end-to-end migration, configuration, and validation from legacy CA tools to target BMC best-in-breed solutions., * Migration Execution: Lead the technical conversion, data mapping, and deployment from Broadcom CA products to the BMC AMI Mainframe ecosystem.

System Configuration & Tuning: Install, configure, and optimize the target BMC AMI solutions to mirror or improve upon legacy functionality.
Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous parallel testing and performance validation to ensure zero business disruption during cutover.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Document the new environment topologies, migration playbooks, and conduct handoffs to the operational mainframe team.

Requirements

7+ years of hands-on Mainframe Systems Programming or Architecture experience, with a proven track record of successful software vendor migrations.
Strong working knowledge of legacy CA architectures, syntax, and configurations (specifically Endevor, Top Secret, and DB2 tools).
Demonstrated proficiency installing and administering the BMC AMI DevX suite, AMI Ops, and AMI Storage/Security solutions.
Exceptional scripting, troubleshooting, and parallel testing methodology skills in a z/OS environment.
