Job description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) is seeking an experienced Cvent Mobile App Specialist to act as a development consultant to design, build, configure, and deploy engaging, user-friendly mobile event applications using the Cvent platform. The consultant will support a federal government conference by transforming approved event content into intuitive, branded mobile experiences that enhance attendee engagement and streamline onsite operations.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated expertise with Cvent Attendee Hub and/or Cvent Event App and can work independently while collaborating with the Director of Logistics and conference managers., * Design, configure, and publish Cvent mobile applications for an upcoming conference.

  • Build mobile apps that reflect agency branding while adhering to accessibility and usability best practices.
  • Configure:

  • Personalized agendas
  • Session schedules and abstracts
  • Speaker bios and headshots
  • Presentations
  • Venue maps
  • Exhibitor and poster session listings
  • Attendee networking features
  • Push notifications
  • Surveys and polls

Integrate mobile applications with Cvent registration and attendee data.

Configure attendee permissions, user groups, and personalized content experiences.

Create custom icons, menus, navigation, and branded landing pages.

Develop attendee engagement strategies using app analytics and participation features.

Test all mobile app functionality prior to launch, including iOS and Android compatibility.

Perform quality assurance reviews to verify:

  • Navigation
  • Content accuracy
  • Session assignments
  • Speaker information
  • Hyperlinks
  • Documents
  • Notifications
  • Accessibility

Coordinate with project team to ensure updates are reflected accurately throughout the event lifecycle.

Troubleshoot attendee issues before and during live events.

Attend the conference in Arlington, VA, August 3-6, 2026 and provide onsite support. (Travel expense support provided)

Maintain version control and document configuration changes.

Recommend new Cvent features and best practices to improve attendee engagement., The consultant may be responsible for producing:

  • Fully configured Cvent mobile applications
  • Event branding implementation
  • Agenda and session configuration
  • Speaker and exhibitor pages
  • Attendee engagement features
  • Push notification schedules
  • Testing and QA documentation
  • User guides for event staff
  • Post-event mobile app analytics reports

Quality Expectations

MSG is committed to delivering exceptional event experiences. The consultant will be expected to:

  • Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing prior to launch.
  • Validate all event information against approved agendas and registration data.
  • Ensure mobile applications are intuitive, accurate, and fully functional.
  • Respond promptly to request updates and revisions.
  • Meet all project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience building Cvent Event Apps or Cvent Attendee Hub mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting conferences ranging from 100 to 5,000+ attendees.
  • Advanced knowledge of:

  • Cvent Event Management
  • Cvent Registration
  • Cvent Attendee Hub/Event App
  • Mobile app personalization
  • Push notifications
  • Surveys and engagement tools

Experience integrating mobile applications with registration data.

Strong understanding of event workflows and attendee experience design.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., * Experience supporting Federal or State Government meetings and conferences.

  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Experience supporting hybrid and virtual events.
  • Knowledge of QR code check-in and badge printing workflows.
  • Experience developing branded event experiences.
  • Cvent Certification(s) preferred.
  • Experience working with project management platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.
