AS/400 Senior Developer

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with strong expertise in legacy systems and database technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to maintain, enhance, and support critical enterprise applications., + Design, develop, and maintain applications using AS/400 (IBM i) and RPGLE programming

• Drive IBM i modernization initiatives by championing modern development tooling (VS Code with Code for IBM i, RPG/CLP editing) in place of traditional green-screen tools, integrating AI-assisted development practices where applicable, and migrating source code management to Git/GitHub to support version control, branching, and collaborative development workflows on the AS/400 platform.

• Develop and support database solutions using MS-Access and OpenEdge Progress

• Create and maintain Visual Basic applications and integrations

• Work directly with business users to gather requirements, provide solutions, and deliver technical support

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues with minimal supervision

• Strong proficiency in AS/400 (IBM i) and RPGLE programming

• Strong SQL knowledge including query optimization, stored procedures, and database design.

• Experience with MS-Access database development and management

• Working knowledge of Visual Basic for app
