Job description
- Integrate FOSS or COTS products and tools into either connected or disconnected environments while adhering to security and customer requirements
- Implement containerization solutions and distributed data object store
- Provide Tier 3 support to end users as needed
- Troubleshot performance problems on lab and production systems
- Participate in technical discussions to understand requirements and decompose into developmental user stories
- Implement, review, and package deliverables and create installation and system administration documentation
- Collaborate with team members to create and implement solutions and/or troubleshoot problems
Requirements
- Expert experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Rocky, RHEL)
- Experience integrating FOSS or COTS products and tools into either connected or disconnected environments while adhering to security and customer requirements
- Experience or willingness to reverse engineer GOTS products and integrate within an Enterprise environment
- Knowledge of containers, automated deployment (e.g., Kubernetes), and distributed data object store (e.g., Ceph) technologies
- Experience with Docker and/or Podman and containerization skills
- Experience with Bash and Ansible to automate installation and configuration of Linux applications
- Technical understanding and communication skills to provide customer integration and troubleshooting support
- Experience with creating Helm charts and images for deployment in a Kubernetes environment
- Experience implementing and working with Agile development frameworks (i.e., Epic, features, user stories, etc.)
- Ability to research, create prototypes, and recommend solutions for mission critical problems
- Experience with Bash
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum Years of Experience:
- Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Salary Range: $217,000 - $238,000
