Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert stakeholder management and serve as a primary liaison between clinical, technical, and operational teams in a client-facing environment.

  • Lead requirements elicitation and analysis activities, capturing and documenting health information and clinical data needs in support of EHR and clinical informatics software development.

  • Develop and maintain information models, process documentation, and artifact libraries for systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences.

  • Configure and support Oracle Health (OH) and/or CPRS/ VistA systems in a federal health environment; this is a core functional responsibility of the role.

  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts and ensure acceptance criteria align with clinical and operational requirements.

  • Support artifact development and documentation in accordance with federal health IT standards and program governance requirements.

  • Mentor and guide junior informatics analysts, establishing best practices and maintaining consistency across the team’s work products.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience in health IT or a related field, of which at least 6 years must be specialized in Health Informatics. Note: Six (6) additional years of specialized experience in health informatics may substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement.

  • Experience supporting systems used in the capture or standardization of health information, clinical information, or data related to therapeutic discovery, medical research, or life sciences.

  • Proven ability to work independently or under general direction in a client-facing environment with minimal supervision.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate clinical requirements for technical teams and vice versa.
