Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: Framework (Functional areas that describe your current “day to day” tasks - fill in detail under each category as necessary) 1. Technical (implementation/deployment/project based - reviewing and interpreting MSFT cut sheets, anything involving activity on the DC Floor, resolving issues with cable maps/Infrastructure (i.e., incorrect cable labels), escalating issues to MSFT). 2. Sales (supporting the local Sales Team) Supporting Level of Effort (LOE). Conduit between Sales and MSFT stakeholders relating to new CAPEX business, requesting feedback on current engagements, and translating MSFT acronyms. Capture effort from completed engagements to optimize future bids/work. 3. Managerial/Operational (directing others, tasks that involve coordination with TEK Delivery Team, interviewing, hire/fire, creating DCATS/special permissions (i.e., Government Sites), setting up new consultants in MSFT system, documentation (manage Lead status updates, progress, contingencies), coaching, schedule regular meetings with Team Leads, Practice/Delivery, MSFT facing). Monitor project deadlines along with status updates to MSFT PM’s, ensure compliance associated with Safety Measures. Develop and collaborate (Sales/Delivery/Practice) on strategies to build and expand Deployment and/or Break-Fix Teams within the assigned Region. 4. DCAT - Datacenter Access Ticket. “Mobilization” Who=DC Tech/Lead, where=specific Data Center, for how long=duration. Key Job Responsibilities: * Managing multiple simultaneous projects (across different physical areas) with high degree of stress within the work environment. * DC facility awareness - i.e., safety, cooling, floor loading, power connections, low voltage containment trays, high voltage containment trays. Use of heavy equipment such as server lifts, platform lifts, pallet jacks. * Understanding of structured cabling - i.e., safely running, dressing, connecting, troubleshooting, labeling. * Lead and mentor deployment & operational teams. * Provide thought leadership to aid with growth across Hyperscaler sites, with an emphasis on the MSFT datacenter program. * Able to escalate issues whether internally (TEK) or externally (early and without delay). * Daily/weekly project status. * Establish minimum attributes for new hire requirements for Datacenter Technicians to be successful. And create a plan to remediate if necessary. * Some travel to other Regions is to be expected if/when necessary. * Address quality issues, as well as periodically inspect work performed by TEK Datacenter Technicians. This may involve conducting audits along with feedback from TEK/MSFT stakeholders. * When encountered, adapt to MSFT changing processes and procedures. * Strong understanding of IT hardware and infrastructure processes involving; racking equipment, moving equipment, slotting modules into chassis, structured cabling, cable routing, patching, troubleshooting, and decommissioning. * Manage and strengthen strong relationships with MSFT Datacenter Project Managers and Engineers. * Ensure Datacenter Technicians follow all MSFT processes and procedures (safety is #1). E.g., SOPS * Track metrics that would be useful for bidding on future work. * Identify optimization opportunities that can improve efficiencies that will benefit Microsoft., Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): We may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support parts of our hiring process, including sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates. Regular interaction with Practice Leadership. e) Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: a) COMPTIA+ b) Certified Datacenter related courses from acclaimed training organizations such as, but not limited to: BICSI, CNET, Uptime, DCD, Cisco) c) Strong understanding of Datacenter specific vendors in support of Datacenter Deployment and Operations such as: AFL, Fluke, Panduit, Brady, CommScope. d) Strong understanding of Network Fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3) e) Familiar with ITIL Framework (ITSM, Change Management, Problem Management), Cable Routing Microsoft Excel Heavy Equipment Customer Service Workplace Safety Change Management Project Management Business Valuation Thought Leadership Problem Management Microsoft Software Structured Cabling Deployment Project Network Engineering IT Service Management Business Intelligence Technology Strategies Packaging And Labeling Full Stack Development Valid Driver’s License Software Documentation Artificial Intelligence Business Transformation Troubleshooting (Problem Solving)
