Job description

We are seeking a Global Product Information Manager to architect, scale, and govern our enterprise product data structure. You will own the global data blueprint for our $3B portfolio, driving consistency across international markets, digital channels, and business units by transitioning from localized silos to a unified global schema.

The role establishes a strong foundation for managing Brady’s PIM system, enriched data, and processes to support global marketing and sales. You will lead strategic initiatives across global businesses, partner with diverse stakeholders, and manage a team of product content data analysts. Key focuses include data quality, process improvement, and content publication. Additionally, you will serve on the Product Master Data Management Steering Council to help direct our long-term strategic roadmap.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design the Global Schema : Establish and scale the global product taxonomy, categorization, and localization rules within the enterprise PIM system.

  • Define Inheritance Hierarchies : Build complex attribute inheritance models that support regional variations while maintaining global data integrity.

  • Integrate Systems : Map data structures between the PIM platform, enterprise ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle), Channel Partner systems, and downstream digital channels and applications.

  • Enforce Data Standards : Create and implement global data dictionaries, validation rules, and mandatory completeness thresholds.

  • Audit System Health : Run regular data quality audits to detect anomalies, broken relationships, or schema non-compliance across contexts.

  • Lead Change Management : Direct the global change control process to review, approve, and deploy updates to the core data model.

  • Align Global Stakeholders : Partner with international product, marketing, legal, and supply chain teams to harmonize localized data requirements.

  • Partner with IT: Provide technical and system requirements to guide the direction for the product roadmap.

  • Mentor and Coach : Oversee a decentralized team of regional data analysts and stewards, providing active mentorship to elevate their data literacy.

  • Train Users : Develop documentation and deliver training programs on data modeling best practices for regional data stewards.

  • Vendor Management : Collaborate with external PIM vendors and system integrators to optimize platform configuration and feature roadmaps as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in master data management (MDM) or product information management (PIM), or product management within a large, matrix organization.

  • Direct experience managing multi-language, multi-currency, and regionally localized digital product catalogs.

  • Advanced configuration and data modeling expertise in enterprise-grade platforms (e.g., Stibo Systems STEP, Salsify, or Riversand).

  • Strong proficiency with relational database concepts, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), JSON/XML structures, advanced Excel/SQL, and AI prompting.

  • Solid understanding of middleware, API integrations, and how product data flows between PIM, ERP, and e-commerce ecosystems.

  • Ability to distill highly complex, disparate business data requirements into a simple, unified global structure.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills to negotiate consensus between conflicting business unit requirements.

  • Proven ability to coach, grow, and upskill data professionals, building an inclusive environment that fosters continuous learning.
