Job description
Performs professional, technical, administrative and supervisory work with responsibility for overall direction of all security functions associated with IT applications, voice and data communications, computing services and physical security. Responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating security efforts across the enterprise, identifying security initiatives and standards and keeping abreast of legislative requirements that impact enterprise security.
This position works independently and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and achievement of desired results.
Representative Duties/Assignments :
- Manages the development and delivery of IT security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise.
- Implements process and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards.
- Facilitates migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments.
- Conducts studies within and outside the organization to ensure compliance with standards and currency with industry security norms.
- Manages and participates in the planning and implementation of security administration for all IT projects.
- Responsible for evaluation and selection of security applications and systems.
- Makes recommendations and assists in the implementation of changes to work methods and procedures to strengthen security measures.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Business Management or a closely related field and five years of responsible technical and administrative experience in systems security, systems analysis and design.
Experience must include three years information security experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity in a multi-vendor, multi-site environment.
Knowledge of security software applications, computer systems, networking and information security., Selected candidates will be required to provide employment references and will be required to complete a pre-employment drug, physical and background check.
