Requirements

Must have experience in algorithm design, systems engineering, systems analysis, and software engineering
Working proficiency in software languages (including Java, Python, and MATLAB)
Has experience designing algorithms, possesses a deep background in mathematics, and has a proficient understanding of physics
The algorithms developed by the candidate include state estimation, nonlinear optimization, and machine learning
Strong technical writing skills are required because all algorithms are thoroughly documented, Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Calculus, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
Experience with professional algorithms in at least one of the following areas: optimization, machine learning, state estimation, or signal processing
Proficient in Java, Python, and MATLAB
Model physics simulations to gain hands-on experience
Experience in systems analysis and Sabermetrics-like studies focused on identifying trends, improving processes, and reducing errors
Processes related to Software Quality Engineering and related disciplines, including Systems Engineering Methodologies such as Model-Based Approaches and DoDAF
Basic understanding of programming languages (such as Java and Python)
Experience with coding and peer review
Skilled reviewer of technical documents
Skilled in conducting root cause analysis
Process auditing experience
Degree in advanced mathematics with specialization in physics
Self-starter who is detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to prioritize and complete tasks in a dynamic and demanding environment
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills, working in a diverse environment and across many disciplines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to create and deliver briefings and status reports, * Good grasp of numerical computation methods and data science fundamentals is preferred
Professional applications of Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Calculus
Grasping numerical computing methods and designing mathematical algorithms
Professional experience with software development tools such as Git, Maven, and common IDEs
Knowledge of aerodynamics and astrodynamics”
