The selected candidate will work closely with software engineers, FPGA engineers, and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineers to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of mission-critical embedded systems. This role is responsible for developing, automating, and executing software test activities supporting embedded firmware, real-time systems, and hardware validation efforts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing test strategies, validating embedded software against algorithmic models, and supporting integration activities on target hardware platforms., * Design, develop, and execute software test plans for embedded systems and firmware applications.

  • Develop automated testing frameworks and scripts to validate embedded C code against algorithm models developed in MATLAB and Python.
  • Collaborate with GNC engineers to verify algorithm implementation, numerical accuracy, and overall system performance.
  • Support integration testing activities with FPGA engineering teams and hardware development groups.
  • Perform unit, integration, system, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
  • Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Utilize debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Maintain traceability, test documentation, defect tracking, and verification artifacts.
  • Participate in peer reviews and ensure compliance with software development and coding standards, including MISRA-C.
  • Analyze software performance, code coverage, and test results to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support defect investigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and regression testing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality, automation, and verification processes.
