Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Data Analyst to support data analysis within our Interoperability Engineering team. This role focuses on transforming raw qualification and lab data into accurate, actionable insights that help engineering teams diagnose issues, validate designs, and improve overall test quality.

In this role, you will work closely with hardware, firmware, and networking engineers to clean and analyze qualification data, generate reports, and validate results across multiple labs and platforms. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, while helping evolve reporting pipelines and automation capabilities.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with real test data, digging into technical details, and improving how engineering decisions are informed.

Our Team

Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU) is a global team that works together to deliver exceptional products to worldwide telecommunication and data center customers. CSBU is one of the most highly technically advanced business units within Molex. Our engineering teams are designing cutting edge solutions for high-speed, high-density products that maximize speed, signal integrity, and efficiency.

Why Join Us?

You will be getting in on the ground floor of a booming sector inside Molex as part of a team building the infrastructure and processes that enable world-class interoperability testing. This role offers hands-on experience with real engineering data, close collaboration with senior technical experts, and the opportunity to directly influence how testing results guide design decisions. You will help turn complex lab data into clear engineering signals - building a strong foundation for long-term growth in systems engineering, data-driven validation, or interoperability leadership roles.

What You Will Do

Data Processing & Analysis

  • Clean, normalize, and organize raw qualification and interoperability test data
  • Analyze basic metrics and trends to identify anomalies, failures, or performance gaps
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across test runs and platforms
  • Support root-cause investigations through data-driven insights

Reporting & Automation Support

  • Generate standardized qualification and interoperability reports
  • Assist with automating data processing and reporting workflows using scripts or tools
  • Support development of centralized data storage and reporting solutions
  • Improve repeatability and reliability of reporting outputs

Cross-Functional Engineering Support

  • Partner with hardware, firmware integration, and networking engineers to interpret results
  • Help translate raw test data into clear technical insights for stakeholders
  • Support specs analysis, customer technical escalations, and design review inputs
  • Maintain clear documentation of data flows, assumptions, and limitations

Quality & Process Improvement

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in data collection and reporting processes
  • Contribute to best practices for data handling and validation in lab environments
  • Support continuous improvement of interoperability qualification workflows

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Comfort working with structured and unstructured technical data
  • Interest in lab-based engineering, qualification testing, or interoperability
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Within a daily commutable distance to Conway, AR and will not require relocation assistance

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity with test data formats, lab instrumentation outputs, or logging systems
  • Exposure to hardware, firmware, or networking test environments
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, or data versioning
  • Interest in growing into broader Systems, Validation, or Interop Engineering roles
