Job description

  • Be the pioneer of bringing the latest material design language and experience to the Gemini App.
  • Architect and build scalable mobile systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of native platform capabilities and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain supporting server-side logic to power mobile features and optimize data for the client.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and Google Material teams to translate complex AI capabilities into user-friendly mobile experiences.
  • Own and build CoreUI libraries to fast track development and bring new model capabilities from the initial prototype to launch on Gemini’s mobile apps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience in native mobile development (Android or iOS), with a focus on building and shipping user-facing applications.
  • Experience with modern Android mobile languages (e.g., Kotlin or Java) and platforms., * Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience with mobile system design, with the ability to architect resilient, scalable features.
  • Experience in client-facing server development to enhance mobile capabilities.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
