  • You will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing network connectivity for our global systems
  • This role will partner closely with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable cloud networking architectures that meet the needs of a growing, mission-critical platform
  • Architect and maintain networking solutions in AWS and GCP including VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity
  • Design and configure load balancing, API gateways, private service access, and service meshes for modern application environments
  • Implement and manage cloud-based firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions
  • Optimize network performance, latency, and availability for distributed systems
  • Enforce network security best practices, including zero-trust principles, segmentation, and encryption in transit
  • Partner with the security team to monitor for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential threats
  • Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) through secure network design
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting of network connectivity, latency, and throughput issues
  • Build automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) for network provisioning
  • Maintain observability and monitoring tools to ensure health and reliability of network services
  • Provide on-call support for critical infrastructure networking issues
  • Work closely with Cloud Architect, cloud infrastructure, and application teams to ensure networking aligns with business requirements
  • Contribute to long-term cloud networking strategy, including multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices

Requirements

  • Certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3+ years in cloud networking
  • Strong background in routing, BGP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Deep knowledge of AWS VPC networking, GCP VPC & VPC-SC, or Azure Virtual Networks
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with security tools, monitoring, and observability (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh, ingress/egress)
  • Experience with SD-WAN, private interconnects (Direct Connect, Cloud Interconnect, ExpressRoute)
  • Hands-on knowledge of API security, service meshes (Istio/Linkerd), and zero-trust networking
  • Prior experience in high-availability, large-scale, or regulated industries (fintech, telecom, healthtech)
