Job description

We are seeking a PLM Data Automation & Migration Engineer with strong experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), engineering data migration, and data quality automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with BOMs, CAD metadata, item revisions, and legacy-to-modern PLM migrations. This role focuses on automating data cleansing, validation, and transformation processes using Python and data engineering tools., * Design and implement automated data quality and validation solutions for engineering and PLM data.

  • Develop Python-based scripts and rule engines to identify, cleanse, and correct data inconsistencies.
  • Perform data profiling, data mapping, transformation, and migration activities.
  • Manage and support staging databases used during migration processes.
  • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD metadata, item revisions, and engineering structures.
  • Collaborate with development, PLM, and engineering teams to define migration rules and data transformation requirements.
  • Validate data integrity and ensure successful migration of engineering data into target platforms.
  • Create documentation, mapping specifications, and migration procedures.
  • Troubleshoot complex data quality issues and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in PLM Data Migration, Data Quality, or Engineering Data Management.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • Experience working with:
  • Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • CAD Data & Metadata
  • Item Revisions
  • Engineering Change Processes
  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Experience with:
  • Pandas
  • NumPy
  • Data Cleansing
  • Data Profiling
  • Data Automation
  • Experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, and migration projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive, Manufacturing, or Aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience with Teamcenter migration projects.
  • Experience with ENOVIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, or Windchill platforms.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven data quality automation.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives.
