Job description

Conduct in-depth security reviews of applications, back-end services, and business integrations, as well as build tooling for a secure development lifecycle. Develop technical solutions to address security weaknesses and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them. Build systems at scale to prevent classes of vulnerabilities. Assist with security incident response as needed. Be a champion for security and user privacy.

Requirements

Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus three (3) years of experience in Security Engineering or closely related experience; OR Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in Security Engineering or closely related experience., Experience in the following Application Security domains: Application Security Testing (SAST, DAST), Vulnerability Assessment, Secure Coding Practices, Security Architecture Design. Application Security (security assessments, finding and mitigating vulnerabilities) and driving the implementation of preventative controls and in partnership with the product teams. Software engineering skills in C++ or Golang or Java. Software development. Web security, mobile security, and cryptography.

OTHER: Job Site: Snap Inc., 2025 1st Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. *Hybrid work permitted - Snap practices a ā€œdefault togetherā€ approach and expects our team members to work in the Seattle, WA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $179,234 - $235,000 per year. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our Benefits: If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.
