Job description

The System Administrator supports the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mission-critical IT systems and infrastructure. This position manages day-to-day system operations and provides technical support across client/server environments, storage systems, network devices, and other enterprise technology., * Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical issues.
  • Support servers, storage systems, network components, and end-user devices.
  • Install and upgrade operating systems, software, patches, and system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, system, and network-related problems.
  • Maintain system integrity, security, and operational readiness.
  • Escalate issues and communicate resolution status to management and internal customers.
  • Coordinate the dispatch and resolution of system and hardware problems.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance system reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Fifteen years of System Administration experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Five additional years of System Administration experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree, for a total of 20 years without a degree.
  • Strong experience administering Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills across enterprise IT systems.
  • Certification meeting or exceeding CWIP IAT Level II requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope Polygraph.
