Job description

As IT Manager, you’ll lead SV Microwave’s technology function, ensuring our infrastructure, business systems, and data are reliable, secure, and ready to support continued growth. Because SV Microwave serves defense and aerospace customers, this role carries significant cybersecurity and compliance responsibility. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical depth with strategic thinking, strong service orientation, and the ability to communicate clearly with people at every level of the organization. This is an in-office position in our West Palm Beach facility., * Holds themselves and their team to high service and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Manages the technology infrastructure and ensures its availability, reliability, and scalability
  • Hires, develops, and manages IT staff, including assigning work, setting expectations, and facilitating professional growth
  • Develops and maintains project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational priorities
  • Oversees development, implementation and upgrades of software and hardware systems
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the use of technology within the organization
  • Stays up-to-date with advances in technology and makes recommendations for incorporating new technologies into the organization
  • Ensures the security of sensitive data and systems, including implementing data backup and recovery procedures and cyber security tools
  • Creates documentation, communicates changes and organizes/conducts training for employees as needed
  • Maintains effective communication and working relationships with team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in our organization
  • A high degree of integrity and personal responsibility
  • Experience administering or supporting some of the following technologies - Microsoft Windows Servers and Workstations, Firewalls, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, VMWare, NAS, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP
  • General understanding of the Microsoft .NET framework - C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, SQL
