Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across a global insurance enterprise and its affiliated companies. Operating within the Portfolio and Project Management Office (PMO), this role will drive complex infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise AI, and technology modernization programs that support the organization’’s long-term business strategy and operational objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses deep experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects across hybrid environments, including on-premises data centers, cloud platforms, identity and access management, server modernization, Active Directory, enterprise AI enablement initiatives, and large-scale technology transformations. This individual will partner closely with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, Operations, Data, and Business Leadership teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of critical initiatives., * Lead end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and technology projects, including:

  • Data center migrations and consolidations
  • On-premises server deployments, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
  • Active Directory and Entra ID transformations
  • Hybrid cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization
  • Enterprise AI readiness and AI platform implementation initiatives
  • Infrastructure security enhancements
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity programs
  • Network, storage, virtualization, and platform upgrades
  • System integrations and enterprise application implementations
  • Intelligent automation (RPA) and digital transformation programs
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and programs of varying complexity, size, and duration while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations, Data & Analytics, and Business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Lead enterprise AI-related initiatives, including infrastructure readiness, data platform modernization, AI governance implementation, and deployment of AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Coordinate infrastructure activities involving:
  • Windows and Linux server environments
  • Active Directory and identity management platforms
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments)
  • Virtualization technologies
  • Storage and backup platforms
  • Network infrastructure
  • Endpoint management technologies
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project and Project Server, ensuring accurate effort-driven planning, resource allocation, and forecasting.
  • Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, capital and operational expenditures, invoices, and resource utilization to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
  • Lead matrixed project teams consisting of infrastructure engineers, architects, security professionals, vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive vendor management activities, including Statement of Work (SOW) execution, contract oversight, milestone tracking, and delivery management.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Provide executive-level communication and reporting, including project health, financial status, milestone achievement, infrastructure readiness, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) methodologies, governance standards, change management processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate regular project governance meetings, steering committee sessions, and stakeholder reviews.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise IT and infrastructure projects in complex, highly regulated environments.
  • Proven success delivering infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology modernization initiatives from project initiation through closeout.
  • Strong experience managing projects involving:
  • On-premises server infrastructure
  • Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Hybrid cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Data center migrations and consolidations
  • Infrastructure modernization programs
  • Enterprise networking and security technologies
  • Experience supporting or leading enterprise AI initiatives, AI platform deployments, AI readiness programs, data modernization efforts, or AI governance implementations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Project Server, and effort-driven scheduling methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, systems administration, networking, cloud computing, storage, backup/recovery, and identity management technologies.
  • Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and large Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Strong financial management experience, including budget forecasting, invoice reconciliation, resource planning, and project funding management.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across business and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated success delivering transformational technology programs, including cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity enhancements, and enterprise AI initiatives., * Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity platforms, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Services, OpenAI technologies, data lakehouse architectures, or enterprise AI governance frameworks.
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Agile, Scrum Master, or related project management certifications preferred.
