Job description
- Support configuration management activities across service engineering, outage planning, and product lifecycle updates.
- Maintain and review product structures, Bills of Material (BOMs), catalog data, spare parts lists, and part applicability information.
- Assist with Windchill/Product Data Management (PDM) updates including reporting, validation, cleanup, and publishing.
- Support engineering change, release, and review processes to ensure configuration accuracy and traceability.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and service teams on product configuration and documentation needs.
- Analyze configuration datasets to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions through configuration data insights and traceability.
- Assist with project tracking, reporting, and leadership updates.
- Support development and improvement of configuration processes, workflows, and validation standards.
- Assist cross-functional teams in evaluating part substitutions and product updates.
- Support reporting of outage, catalog, and configuration data for ongoing projects.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or current student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, technical documents, and product structures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex configuration data.
- Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity or willingness to learn data systems and configuration tools.
- Preferred: Experience with Windchill, SAP, Power BI, Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar tools.
- Ability to summarize technical and operational data into clear reports and presentations.
