Job description
- Integrate software components and subsystems across Windows and Linux operating environments
- Support configuration and maintenance of virtualized infrastructure and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Perform black box and grey box testing to validate system functionality and identify defects
- Write and maintain technical documentation including test procedures, integration guides, and system configuration records
- Assist with scripting and automation tasks to support integration and DevOps workflows
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot integration issues and verify system requirements
- Participate in configuration management and version control practices
- Support system builds, deployments, and environment provisioning
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math, plus 1 year of relevant experience; or Master’s degree., Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required., We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Integration Engineer to join our team. This entry-level position supports the integration, testing, and documentation of complex multi-platform systems. The ideal candidate is a motivated problem-solver eager to learn and grow in a hands-on technical environment., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls)
- Experience writing database queries (SQL)
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
- Coursework, internships, or project experience in software testing or systems integration
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
