Job description

We are seeking an early-career Full-Stack AI Engineer to help design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications that support Micron’s Autonomous Operations initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full technology stack, including AI models, data pipelines, APIs, web applications, cloud infrastructure, and manufacturing system integrations, to deliver impactful solutions used across global manufacturing operations., * Design, develop, and support end-to-end AI applications, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model inference, APIs, user interfaces, and monitoring capabilities.

  • Build responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, or Streamlit and develop backend services using Python and FastAPI.
  • Integrate Generative AI technologies, including LLMs and agentic workflows, into manufacturing applications and operational processes.
  • Collaborate on the integration of robotics platforms, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automation systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Implement monitoring, evaluation, drift detection, and feedback mechanisms to ensure reliable and scalable AI solutions in production environments.
  • Apply Responsible AI and software engineering standards, including security, audit logging, model governance, and performance optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and deploying production software applications, AI solutions, or related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational database technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to deploy and manage applications.
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI concepts, including prompt engineering, RAG, function/tool calling, agentic workflows, and AI model evaluation practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience building full-stack web applications using React, Angular, Streamlit, FastAPI, or similar modern frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps practices, including model monitoring, deployment, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with robotics, automation systems, IoT devices, or manufacturing applications.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration, cloud-native architectures, and GPU-accelerated AI workloads.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, cybersecurity, data privacy, and model governance principles.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, or other regulated high-reliability environments.
