Job description
- Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud native infrastructure and CI/CD automation across mission critical systems.
- This role combines deep expertise in AWS Cloud, GitLab Pipelines, and Kubernetes to drive reliability, scalability, and engineering velocity.
- Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture Design and maintain highly available AWS environments using EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- CI/CD Automation Build, optimize, and govern GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multi service deployments.
- Kubernetes Operations Manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters, including scaling, monitoring, and workload orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code Implement IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent, repeatable infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance Enforce cloud security standards, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
- Observability Implement logging, metrics, and tracing using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
- Team Leadership Mentor DevOps engineers, establish best practices, and collaborate with development teams.
- Release Engineering Oversee deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling) for high availability systems.

Requirements
- AWS Expertise 5-8+ years hands-on experience with core AWS services and cloud architecture.
- GitLab CI/CD Strong experience building complex pipelines, runners, and automated deployment workflows.
- Kubernetes Deep knowledge of EKS, Helm, Operators, networking, and cluster lifecycle management.
- Containerization Proficiency with Docker image design, multi-stage builds, and container security.
- IaC Strong Terraform module design and environment provisioning.
- SRE Principles Understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets.
