Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium and other automation tools across Web, Mobile, Desktop, and Cloud applications.
  • Execute automation and validation activities within Agile sprint cycles, ensuring continuous quality and timely delivery.
  • Validate end-to-end Retail and Merchandising business processes, including store operations, inventory, promotions, and customer-facing workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to define test strategies, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage defect lifecycle activities, including defect identification, tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution verification.
  • Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives by integrating automated testing into build and deployment pipelines while providing accurate test status reporting to stakeholders.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong hands-on expertise in Selenium-based test automation to support Retail and Merchandising applications. The ideal candidate will possess a quality-first mindset, strong automation skills, and experience working in Agile delivery environments. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases, support store validation activities, and drive test automation across multiple technology platforms., * 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Functional Testing, Test Automation, and Agile software delivery.

  • Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Selenium-based automation frameworks (mandatory).
  • Proven experience supporting Retail and Merchandising applications, including store systems and business process validation.
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms, including Web, Mobile, Desktop, API, and Cloud-based applications.
  • Strong programming and automation skills using Java and/or Python, with experience in API testing and automation tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, or UFT.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies and collaborating effectively across distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits & conditions

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911 - $161,544.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
