Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Working with an cross-functional team to execute tool designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing

  • Working with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth tool launch

  • Writing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures

As an Amazon Robotics Mechanical Engineer, you will develop innovative custom hardware tools for our robotic solutions. The ideal candidate has experience designing and analyzing mechanical systems, enjoys analytical problem solving and possesses practical knowledge of manufacturing methods., Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

  • Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
