Job description

  • Integrate and validate end to end network connectivity across Open RAN, gNodeB, 5G Core, IMS, transport, and LEO satellite test systems.
  • Validate 3GPP Release 17 NTN behaviors from a network integration perspective, including attach, registration, bearer setup, user plane, mobility, and service continuity.
  • Integrate and test Open RAN architecture components including CU, DU, RU, F1, E1, Xn, and gNodeB connectivity into lab and payload environments.
  • Validate VoNR and IMS call flows, including registration, SIP signaling, media path, QoS, emergency call behavior where applicable, and failure recovery.
  • Troubleshoot NGC, NGU, NGAP, GTP U, SCTP, PFCP, VLANs, routing, MPLS, Segment Routing, QoS, MTU, timing, and user plane performance issues.
  • Build and execute integration, regression, interoperability, failover, resiliency, and performance test plans for lab and HIL environments.
  • Use packet captures, protocol logs, Linux tools, telemetry, and system traces to drive root cause across RF, RAN, Core, payload, transport, and cloud teams.
  • Partner with RF, modem, payload, Core, RAN, software, and systems teams to define pass fail criteria and drive issues from ambiguous system behavior to clear resolver ownership.
  • Support readiness reviews, test reports, and operational handoff for production bound satellite terrestrial network capabilities.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or above

  • 5+ years experience integrating, testing, or operating LTE or 5G networks in lab, carrier, vendor, or large scale production environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of 3GPP network architecture, including RAN to Core interfaces and 5G user plane and control plane flows.
  • Experience with Open RAN or disaggregated RAN architecture, including CU, DU, RU, gNodeB integration, and related interfaces.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP Release 17 NTN concepts and ability to apply standards knowledge during integration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with VoNR and IMS protocols, including SIP, RTP, registration, call setup, media path validation, and failure analysis.
  • Strong Linux networking skills and ability to troubleshoot routing, interfaces, packet captures, firewalls, tunnels, timing, and performance.
  • Experience with Wireshark or equivalent tools for packet and protocol analysis.
  • Experience working in hands on lab environments with physical infrastructure, HIL setups, network equipment, and multi team debug.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LEO, satellite communications, NTN, or space to ground network integration.
  • Experience with 3GPP Release 18 NTN or emerging NTN standards.
  • Experience with MOCN, MORAN, Multi PLMN broadcast, PLMN operations, network slicing, or shared RAN deployments.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, MikroTik, or comparable routing and switching platforms.
  • Experience with MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, IS IS, QoS, and high availability transport design.
  • Python scripting experience for test automation, log parsing, packet analysis, or lab tooling.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, cloud networking, CI based regression, or automated lab orchestration.
  • Experience producing clear test reports, defect summaries, and executive ready readiness assessments.
